usually find it so in these forms; hence also נקלותי
(despite 2 Sam. 6,22), in order to emphasize the
inner rhyme visually. S. Joseph (/. c., p. 300)
would like to write נקלתי, but then ודלתי (Ps. 116,6)
would also have to be preferred, as in Kampf,
Nichtandal. Poesie, II, 226.—1^9רוד I*¹ Edelmann,
נבזי אקספרד p. 25, the reading כפרוד is an error due
to haste (for the manuscript underlying it, MS.
Oxford 1970, exhibits our reading), which S.
Joseph would like to retain. The fortunately
preserved Arabic text (ממא הגדת), is against it.

L. 6. עי3ני;] I accept this correction of Joseph.
